Effects of the Earthquake off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku

Takasago International Corporation extends deepest condolences to people who have suffered from the earthquake off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku, which struck Northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011.

The following are effects of the earthquake on Takasago as of March 14.

Damage and recovery efforts
The Takasago Group's employees have not been injured by the disaster.
The following workplaces are currently out of operation due to effects of the earthquake such as suspension of water supply, damage to buildings and facilities, etc.
We are making every effort to recover to normal operations.

1) Kashima factory
At the Kashima Flavor factory, the electricity and fresh water supply are temporarily under a critical situation. As these are supplied by the local utilities, we will follow the instructions from municipal and governmental orders.

2) Delivery Center in Hiratsuka
At the Delivery Center at our Fragrance & Flavor factory in Hiratsuka, one of the warehouses was slightly damaged. All shipments from this factory are suspended at least for a few days for inspection of the conditions.

Our other sites have not been affected by the disaster.
