Takasago Collaborated with "Perfume World" Exhibition
The Metropolitan Teien Art Museum in Tokyo used to be the residence of Prince Asaka. The house was built with the Art Deco style in 1933. The museum held a special exhibition, "Perfume World" from18 Sep to 28 Nov, 2010.
The exhibits include 280 works from the collection of the Umi-Mori Art Museum in Hiroshima, ranging from early alabaster and glass bottles to Sevres, Meissen, and Chelsea porcelain, Baccarat and Lalique glass, and bottles designed for Dior and other haute couture houses. This exhibition also includes a special exhibit of Faberge and Boucheron perfume bottles, together with prints and paintings from the Petit Palais, Musee de Beaux-Arts in Paris. A total of 350 works are displayed, tracing the history and culture of perfume.
TAKASAGO leased a perfume bottle from the TAKASAGO Collection, and Tsugumi Michibata (TIC) held a seminar on perfume at the museum.
