Takasago respects freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, and actively engages in discussions with the Takasago International Union, which is organized under a union store system, to resolve issues related to overall corporate activities.
In Japan, Takasago International Corporation provides a forum for labor and management to cooperate on various issues, such as the Labor-Management Council (twice a year) where management and employees share and discuss management information, the Central Safety and Health Committee (once a year) where occupational safety is discussed, and the Central Benefits Committee (once a year) where benefits are discussed, to ensure appropriate business operations. We have also established a system of discussion between labor and management to discuss systems and procedures for the management of the company. In addition, we strive to create a workplace where employees can work comfortably by improving systems and benefits through discussions between labor and management.
Labor union members (employees covered by labor-management labor agreements) account for 54.5% of the total workforce, including managers. In addition, each business site holds a joint labor-management health and safety committee, the scope of which covers all employees (100%). [Based on the end of fiscal year 2023].
Labor unions have also been formed in other country and regions locations, and discussions are held to resolve issues based on good relations.
