Poster Presentation at Stereochemistry - Gordon Research Conference
TAKASAGO gave a poster presentation at Stereochemistry - Gordon Research Conference (GRC) held on July 21-26, 2024 at Salve Regina University, Rhode Island, United States. The GRC is a scientific community with a long history dated back to 1931 and holds international conferences in a wide range of scientific disciplines. At this conference, researchers from industry and academia discussed cutting-edge research achievements related to the field of stereochemistry.
Catalytic Etherification of Alcohols by Ruthenium Complex
Benzyl protection of hydroxy groups is widely used in organic synthesis. However, conventional methods of this reaction required use of lachrymatory benzyl halides and a stoichiometric amount of base. In this research, we have overcome these challenges by establishing a simple protocol for reductive etherification of alcohols using a ruthenium catalyst.
