A special exhibition, "Fragrance - the Aroma of Masterpieces" was held from April 7 to May 29, 2011 at the University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts. Featuring a broad assortment of fragrance-related artworks, this exhibition lets visitors experience the intangible magic of fragrances through all five senses and the imagination. Consisting of three parts -- the culture of fragrance in Japan, the incense ceremony and the implements used in it, and fragrance in painting -- the event brings together masterpieces from museums throughout Japan.
