Takasago Takes Part in the "Pink Ribbon: Fruits for Women" Exhibition
The "Pink Ribbon: Fruits for Women" Exhibition was held from October 1 to October 13 at Konica Minolta Plaza in Shinjuku, Tokyo, a special event planned by Konica Minolta.
The exhibition was the result of a collaboration between Konica Minolta, which contributes to pink ribbon activities by providing high quality mammographies, and Shinjuku Takano, a fruit vendor popular among women. "The aim of the event was to educate women about breast cancer by getting them to think about health, using fruit as the starting point," explained one event organizer.
On display was basic information about breast cancer, panels showing the experiences of persons who received screenings for breast cancer, and mammograms in which "spots" appeared. The exhibition featured the theme of "Fruit and Health," with displays about the beneficial effects of fruit on the health, nutritional information, etc. Takasago provided 24 types of flavors for a "Smell Fruit Aromas" corner.
