Takasago Receives Best Poster Award at Bioflavour 2025

At the Bioflavour 2025 conference, held in Frankfurt, Germany (September 16th -18th), Takasago was honored with the Best Poster Award. Bioflavour is one of the premier international academic conferences focused on biotechnological approaches in the research of flavors, fragrances, and functional ingredients, bringing leading experts together from industry and academia to share cutting-edge research and technologies.

The award-winning presentation “Investigation of biocatalytic reduction mechanism for ene-reductase to induce chirality through in silico analysis” was also featured in a flash talk session, highlighting research on catalyzed biosynthesis of optically active aroma intermediates. The study combined metabolic engineering with in silico analysis such as AlphaFold and docking simulations to investigate how enzymes can recognize the substrate in the active site, and induce its molecular chirality.
